1. Why do I need is a merchant account?
A merchant account allows a merchant to accept credit cards as a form of payment for goods and services.  Accepting credit cards may increase a merchants' overall sales by as much as 100%.

2. How difficult is the application process?
To get started, simply go to the 'apply page' and complete our online 'pre-application'.  Our app team will then contact you for additional documentation and to further discuss your needs.

3. What are your rates?
Processing rates can vary greatly depending on many factors such as; the type of business, the average ticket, the monthly volume, etc.  After we've had the opportunity to review your application/documentation we can discuss the rates and fees for your business.  Often times we offer a tiered rate structure based on various processing volume levels.  (i.e.  The higher your monthly volume, the lower your rate.)

4. Is there a fee to apply?
In most instances there is no application fee.  However, some banks charge a set-up fee.  Incorporation fees may apply, too.

5. Am I required to put up a cash reserve?
Usually there is no up front cash reserve.  However a 6-month, rolling reserve of 5% - 10% is common.

6. Are their any processing limits?
There are no maximum processing limits.  But we usually require a monthly minimum turnover volume of at least $10,000.

7. Will you accept my business type?
We can help to acquire a merchant account for virtually any legal business with credible owners...even new start-up businesses!

8. Will I need to incorporate my business in a different country?
For a direct merchant account, the business will need to be incorporated in the same region/jurisdiction as the acquiring Bank.  However, we also offer 3rd party processing solutions which allow the merchant to be operating from virtually anywhere in the world.

9. What is the pay-out frequency?
The typical pay-out frequency is weekly, with a 1 - 2 week delay.  In some cases we are able to provide daily pay-outs, with only a 2-3 day delay.

10. How soon will I be able to start accepting cards from my website?
For direct merchant accounts it takes 1 - 3 weeks after a complete application package is received.  For 3rd party/aggregator processing, it takes only 1 - 5 business days to get set-up.

11. Can I use my own gateway and/or shopping cart?
In some cases we can work with your existing gateway/cart.  But in many other cases, you are required to use one of our processors' gateways.

12. Is the cardholder data secure?
Yes.  We use the latest fraud scrubbing and encryption technology.

13. What is a charge back?
A charge back may result when there is an unresolved dispute between the merchant and the cardholder.  If the customer is unhappy with the product or service provided, they may contact the issuing bank and request to "charge back" the transaction to the merchant.

14. Do you offer fraud scrubbing?
Yes.  We offer a multitude of fraud scrubbing features with our secured processing gateway systems.

15. Will I have my own descriptor?
If you incorporate in the region of the acquiring bank and are processing at least $20,000/month, we can usually setup a direct merchant account with your own descriptor.

16. Do you offer a billing solution for recurring payments?
Yes.  Our secure gateway systems have the option for billing monthly/quarterly recurring payments.

17. Do you offer technical support for the integration process?
Yes.  We provide the integration specs and ongoing tech support for the integration process and for the everyday operation of the merchant account/gateway functions.
